Big Twitter web refresh

At 10:45pm GMT tonight, Twitter introduced a spanking new web look.

Just to compare, here’s the old, old look. Months old.

Update: The old one.

And the new one.

So, what do you think of the facelift? Like it? Personally, I think there’s a lot wasted space about. Look at all of the whitespace gaps..

Update: And they reverted to the old one (image 2). My screen capture was taken after the reversion. You confused yet? LOL.. Love ya Twitter guys, stop making me question what I see!

I wonder if you’re the only one who managed to get a screencap – nice work. Fast thinking!

    I thought something didn’t look different ;)

I think this MUST be the new look, probably why it’s in maintenance right now. Maybe they had wanted to implement it without downtime, but found there were bugs.

Hints of the new look can be seen in the sketch of the addition of search to twitter: http://bp3.blogger.com/_E8ZD85Wzu9E/SHwWPcBctZI/AAAAAAAAAVE/8uN-NFmUFfs/s1600-h/sketch.jpg

Ah.. Nice digging, Sinéad. :) You’d think they’d have deployed the new L&F to a mirrored test server to work out kinks, right? Hmmm..
