Brands on Twitter
Okay, I love Twitter. Sometimes I find myself evangelising it to people that haven’t heard about microblogging. The best way to explain it is in terms of examples; case studies of companies that have adopted it and are making it a part of their daily business regime. Of course, regular users of Twitter on the sharp end of the geek scale would probably have witnessed how Comcast or Dell respond to customers through real front-line staff. Flesh and blood folks.
Today, Laura (Ms Pistachio) linked to a really comprehensive list of companies and brands that use Twitter to communicate with their customers and followers. Some of the entries on the list that caught my eye include:
Virtually all of the entries on the list are American. Inspired by this, I’m building a list of Irish companies or brands that use Twitter to communicate. Are you using Twitter for business? Would you like to add your company or brand to the list? Perhaps you’d like to share some insights into how it is working to make your business successful. I’ll publish it here along with your hints. Maybe you’d prefer to give advice in your own words, we could decentralise the advice font. Build a list that everyone can reference, but you could blog about your experiences on Twitter. It’s up to you.
You never know – sharing war stories or experiences on using Twitter might spark an idea. Drop me a line at alexia [at] golez [dot] net.
Alexia – we’re on there via my own presence and I’ve also hooked up a second twitter account to the company blogs.
