Abrakebabra in Dundalk.. Eww..

On my way home after the Kronos Quartet concert in Dundalk, I stopped by Abrakebabra on Park Street. I hadn’t eaten since lunchtime. So, I ordered a chicken baguette.

This is what I get. Looks like poo in a roll, but it isn’t. The sauce was pseudo-pepper-sauce-in-a-jar-like. Understandably, I left my food behind me.

Oh yes and there was loads of flies hanging out.

Look at the flies @ Abra Dundalk

Probably because of the half-eaten food and rubbish left on tables.

Mess @ Abra Dundalk

I also did not like that the door from the dining area to the kitchen was wide open.

Never again!

I feel very, very ill. So why can’t I tear my gaze away?

Yep, Abra-KeStabra is a bit of a kip alright.

I have to say I absolutely LOVE their chip butties though. Pure Irish fast food – starch on starch, mmmmmmm.

that is brutal. Places like this need to be ranted about.

Eugggggh. It always looked so much prettier at 4am… Abra used to be the port of call on the way home from Tomangoes (the fact that home was actually closer than Abra for most people was irrelevant). How are places like this still trading?!

Aye, tis a bad, bad place.

You should have hit up the Roma; Mama Roma would have sorted you out.

Taco Fries in Skebabs is the way to go. Taco sauce but hold the meat mind…

But that’s what makes Abrakebabra what it is!

I only wish there was one in Fermoy now :(

uuurrrghghgh that is seriously vile. When I first moved to Dublin there were occasions where we’d find ourselves there at the end of an evening out. Each time we’d say ‘so thats why we don’t come in here’.

Cept that one night we went in really late and had tea and chips. But then a fast food place should at the very least be able to rustle up chips. Everything else is minging.

Colin Farrell can keep his gold card.
